10 reasons you should declutter

Now that the tree and stockings are gone and a new year is well under way, any excuse to hold off on decluttering your home is long gone. Sorry, but that ship has sailed!

When it comes to organization and getting rid of the clutter in your home, are you ready for a change? Let’s make this year your most productive and rewarding one yet! Even though this list could go on and on, here are our top ten favorite reasons why you should start decluttering right now:

  1. It’s the chance to turn over a new leaf

    The new year is the perfect time to look back and take note about what’s important and how you can change for the better. If clutter is taking over your life (and your home), then enough is enough! Start 2014 off right and get ready to enjoy this new chapter in your life. Are you ready? Let’s go!

  2. Your space will look bigger and better

    Do the walls of your home feel like they are constantly closing in on you? There’s no reason to be surrounded by things that don’t work, that you don’t need, or that you could simply live without. You won’t miss it. Toss it!

  3. You’ll feel great

    When you finish decluttering and organizing, you’ll immediately feel the sense of achievement. It’s just like completing a jigsaw puzzle: it might be frustrating at first, but once you finish, you’ll love the relief you feel.     This one is simple! Minimalism will allow you to appreciate and value what you already have. If there is something you haven’t used in the last couple of years, or if you have two or three of the same kitchen gadget or knickknack, then toss it! Less is always more.
