The Hill family live in a town of 496 people called Dearborn. They are like many American families except for the fact that they just won over 293 million dollars playing the Powerball lottery.

Lottery winners no longer have anything stopping them from buying, everything. I’m sure there is an initial desire to go out and shop. SHOP! Shop like you’ve never shopped before. A frenzy of carefree purchases and drooling sales associates.

So what happens when the buying binge is over and the old junk has been hauled away? What do you choose to do with your life when there are no financial limitations?

It’s an enlightening exercise, to imagine what you would be doing if money wasn’t a factor. It can reveal what you are truly craving from life. To learn how our Founder and CEO Brian Scudamore used this limitless thinking to build 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and better his life, check out our Painted Picture video here.

I was pleased to hear that the Hill family sees their new fortune as a way to spend more time together instead of a means to more stuff. In addition to family getaways, they will be setting up multiple scholarships and donations for people and places that matter to them. Nonetheless, Mr. Hill looks forward to buying a red Chevrolet Camaro, an economical and seemingly nostalgic choice given that he could afford a Boeing 737. Actually, a couple Boeing 737s. You can’t put a price on memories!
